Welcome to Nigeria! Never thought, that I am going to visit Lagos one day. This whole World Tour project started with a very basic idea, but it finally turns out, that it is much more than just that. It’s about getting a feeling for the globe, the continents, the vegetation and climate zones. It is really fascinating to see how the landscape changes once you travel the Earth. This leg has been a very exciting one! We left Timbuktu, which is literally somewhere in the middle of nowhere. During the flight there is nothing below you. Flying across Europe means crossing villages and citites, but crossing Africa is something completely different. At least the Sahara part of it. Just and, dunes and rough environment as far as you can see. In any direction. What an impressive region of Earth. In such a dry region it is amazing to see, which impact rivers have on their surroundings. Life concentrates in these areas just because there is no chance to survive outside. Travelling in 35.000 ft means that one can get a really good overview about what is going on on the ground. And even despite the fact, that we are talking about just a virtual world it changes the perspective of the real world. So much to explore and to see!
On the other hand, once you are in trouble, chances are high that there won’t be anyone to help you. Just wilderness around you. Dangerous beauty! However, I enjoyed this flight very much and I’m happy that I arrived safely in Lagos.
